The ACS Victoria Young IT team organised a stall at the 2008 RMIT Careers Expo to promote membership.
In NSW, meanwhile, the ACS joined forces with the computing clubs of University of Sydney, University of Technology, Sydney and Macquarie University.
"The ACS is bridging the gap between university and industry," Daniel Rianto, Macquarie University Computing Society's President, said. "Hopefully, through ACS, students will find help, development, and industry experience."
Yohan Ramasundara, Young IT Professionals Board Director, welcomed new student members and new student ambassadors to the society. "It has been a good start and I encourage our young ICT representatives to reach out, promoting ICT as a career to university and high school students as well as their parents," he said.
We are now recruiting new student ambassadors across the States and Territories. Interested members should e-mail their details to youngit@acs.org.au.
